Our 9 year old Boston Hunter has recently had surgery to remove a two masses. They confirmed the biopsies to be Grade 2 Mast Cell Tumors. We have chosen to have a second surgery to enlarge the margins to give him a fighting chance. Since the first surgery a few weeks ago a third mass has grown close to the incision site. The vet will be removing that as well and will be removing the lymph node near the area as well to see if it has spread. At that point we will need to make the decision if chemo is an option.
After days of letting this all sink in, we have decided that we are going to do all we can for Hunter because none of us are ready to let this take him from us. He has way to much more love to give. He has been there for us in so many times of our own grief that we owe this to him.
I hate that I am having to do this to ask for help, but this process is only something we can proceed with, fully, with the help of others.
Any financial help will be a great relief to us. We have a hard time asking for this help but see no other way. We are grateful for anything you can spare, including positive vibes and love his way.
Edit: any funds over surgery fundraising goal will be used for medication and possible chemo if needed.
Much love,
Kim and Hunter
