It is never easy to hear or speak about CANCER, even if your Mom works in medicine. For Hunter and his family, that was the grim reality on February 2, 2023. In the blink of an eye, one's life can be turned upside down when you, as a parent, have to tell your 7-year-old son that HE-HAS-CANCER. Hunter has Leukemia, Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia also known as ALL. For the next 2-2.5 years, Hunter will undergo medical treatment to cure his cancer.

To help alleviate some of the financial burdens that include time away from work to take Hunter to his treatments and medical expenses that come with this situation, we at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist have set up a GoFundMe page to assist with these medical expenses and support for their family.

For all of us, the children that we are closest to are the center of our lives. No family should have to fight cancer alone. Let's do our part to bring Hunter's health and day-to-day smile back home to his parents and little sister CANCER-FREE!!
