Hunter’s Battle with Leukemia
Donation protected
My name is Lorene Diaz. My 5 year old nephew, Hunter, was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on Friday, November 17th. He was taken to the doctor due to being lethargic, complaining of his body hurting, and his stomach being extended. After some labs my brother, Adam and sister in law, Samantha were told his liver and spleen were enlarged. After some more test they were told he most likely has cancer and he needed to be life flighted to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Friday night after arriving in Peoria, they got the diagnosis it was leukemia. Hunter started chemotherapy Saturday night (11/18).
Hunter has three beautiful sisters at home that Adam and Sam will be going back and forth to see, as well as having to take turns going to work. We know that Hunters journey will be a long journey. They said to start with he will be in Peoria for at least a week. Peoria is about an hour and a half from their home. Adam and Sam are missing work to be by Hunters side. He has never been away from his parents before and this is terrifying for all.
We are trying to help raise money for the Gerard family to make sure one of them is with Hunter at all times and they don't have to worry about gas to get there and back, food for their family, hospital bills, and living expenses.
If you can help them, even if it is $10, it would mean the world to Hunter.
Please keep Hunter and his family in your prayers.
