On Friday November 6th, 2020, Hunter Hap Wells was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He and his twin sister Ella just turned 4 and they had their routine check ups on Thursday this is when the doctor noticed that he had swollen lymph nodes and at first thought it could have just been an infection and preceded to check for strep which the test came back negative . The next day Kayla and Robert which are Hunters mom and dad received the call to head to the children's hospital and were told that their 4 year old son has cancer.  He was admitted to the children hospital where they ran more tests, gave him fluids and decided on the course of treatment. He went into surgery where they preformed a spinal tap, a bone marrow biopsy and inserted a port into his chest where he will receive his chemotherapy. They are hoping to see Hunter in remission within the first six weeks of chemotherapy but will have  a minimum of 6 months in and out of the hospital because his immune system will be extremely compromised. 

Anything that people can contribute will help this amazing family so much especially since being at the hospital so much, there will be financial hardships as 2 incomes will no longer be coming in. Everything that we raise will go straight towards the cost of his medical expenses and other needs for Hunter and his twin sister Ella during this extremely hard and difficult time.
