Hunter my boy needs emergency spine surgery
Donation protected
Hi I am fundraising for my 5 yr old boy Hunter. He went from being perfectly healthy, playful and following me all around to whimpering, in the middle of the night. I took him to the 1st vet they said possibly a muscle strain, gave him meds and sent home. His condition continued to deterioate rapidly, took him to another vet and they said could be disc degenerative in his spine. They advised it would cost 5k just for an mri if I really wanted to know. Once again sent him home on meds. Hunter was still able to walk he just didn't feel good. The next day his back legs were very wobbly to the point he could not stand. I rushed him 2 hours away up to CSU veterinary school. This is where he is currently at, he is undergoing more testing, xrays, ultrasounds and an mri is still needed. The neurologist believes this is a ruptured disc in his spine and it is pinching the nerve that goes to his brain which allows him yo walk. The Dr states with surgery the success rate is 98% for him to lead a normal healthy dog life. Hunter is a very large German Shepard he has never been aggressive only ever been loving and by my side through upset and downs for the last 5 years. Please help me funraise for him to make him healthy again!!
