Hunter Lewis to World Competition

As some of you might be aware, Hunter has had one goal this past year and that was to represent the United States at the 2018 Cadet World Championship scheduled for Croatia later this summer. The Stoughton Wrestling Club would like to support making this trip possible for Hunter.
Hunter decided to go on independent study midway through the school year so he could dedicate more time to train. This weekend he competed at the 2018 Cadet World Team Trials in Akron, Ohio and he won the tournament at 55 kilos earning him a spot on the 2018 Cadet World Team.
Hunter has worked hard the past few months preparing for this tournament including his own workouts, private lessons with coaches, attending camps throughout the country as well as traveling overseas to seek high level Greco training.
His success has paid off. The past 12 months he won the toughest Greco wrestling tournament in the country in Fargo, North Dakota in a 128 man bracket. He went on to win the Wisconsin state high school tournament at 120 pounds as well as going undefeated in Greco and Freestyle state competitions. Just last month he earned the right to represent the United States at the Pan Am Championships held in Guatemala City where he won gold medals in the styles of Freestyle and Greco.
Despite his past success his biggest accomplishment is earning his spot on the 2018 World Team.
Earning a spot on the team is only half of his goal. The next part is earning winning a gold medal in Croatia next month where he'll be competing against the best wrestlers from each country.
Over the next few weeks Hunter will be training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado, Michigan and throughout Wisconsin to prepare for the event.
To make this happen the Stoughton Wrestling club would like to lend it's support. If you are able, please donate a little to help make his dream come true.
The cost of the trip to Croatia will be $3000 and in addition Hunter will be traveling to team camps in Colorado, Michigan and Wisconsin to prepare for the event. Your donation goes towards these expenses.
