Hunter & Catie Kilpatrick Medical Fund
Donation protected
Hunter and Catie were filled with excitement in mid October when they found out they were pregnant with their first child! 5 days later their world was shaken when they were informed that the pain Hunter had been experiencing in his right tibia was cancer. Hunter had been having pain in his right leg since January 2021 and on his second trip to the orthopedist they did and MRI which showed abnormalities, which were likely cancer. The following months have been filled with biopsies, scans, and blood work which lead to a diagnosis on December 7th of Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma.
Hunter's cancer is aggressive, but treatable and his doctors give him a great prognosis and are feeling confident he will be cured! Praise the Lord! Hunter began his first round of chemo last Friday, December 17th to begin his 18 week treatment plan which will be followed by radiation. We are all hopeful that he will be cured by the babies arrival in June 2022.
For those of you that may not know Catie and Hunter they are two of the kindest, most giving people I’ve ever met. Hunter was raised in Springdale, AR and actively serves in his childhood church. They met at the University of Arkansas Catie’s freshman year and got married in 2015. Hunter is always giving of his time and energy to help others. He is the epitome of a man that will give you the shirt off his back. Catie is an elementary school counselor (during a pandemic) who is always going above and beyond to help the kids she serves every day. To know them is to love them!
The Lord has blessed Hunter and Catie with a baby on the way and a prognosis of good health for Hunter in the future, but both of these are financially draining. If you would like to help this growing family overcome the financial hurdles that come from cancer treatments please contribute to this fund. The couple also appreciates all prayers and encouragement from their families, friends, and community.
