Hunt'em Up Kennels Parvo Fight

Donation protected
A fine, honest and respectable dog man's kennel has been stricken with Parvo Virus, despite his love and excellent medical care.  All pups were properly vaccinated, yet Parvo invaded his beloved dogs.

Kaj Larson has been involved with the sport of dogs and bird dogs for many years.  I am hosting this fundraiser to help a fellow enthusiast with mounting vet bills.  This could happen to any one of us.  Kaj's pups were ALL properly vaccinated.  I know Kaj would appreciate any assistance in lessening the financial burden.  Kaj's current vet bills are over $10,000, and he still has a pup fighting for her life at KSU.

Please take a moment to continue reading how this story began, and continues to unfold.  I appreciate every donation and every share.

This is how Kaj's nightmare began....

"7 months and 7 days ago Summit was born. He was the product of a breeding I’d been dreaming of for quite some time. I didn’t want a male or even need one, I own his sire, but when I saw him at 8 weeks old something about him told me I was wrong. Something told me if I didn’t take him home I would end up regretting it. As it turned out, he was everything I thought he would be yet better. He was an extraordinary young talent to the extent I’m quite positive I’ve never seen the likes of before. Unfortunately, I’ll never know just what that talent would’ve developed into or what that would’ve meant as he was taken from this life way too soon. For those of you that have never experienced Parvovirus, I hope you never do. I hope I never experience it again. I’ll never understand or know how a healthy, fully vaccinated puppy contracted it or how it could take him so quickly despite following protocol to a T. Honestly, I’m at a loss for words or reasoning. I lost a very special puppy today despite seemingly doing everything right and it down right sucks. I’m upset because I feel like l let him down despite knowing I did all I could. Things like this never make sense and they seem to happen to the best of the best. I’m going to miss you Summit and I’m grateful for the time we had together even though it wasn’t near long enough. Until we meet again Rest In Peace Summit."

Sadly, Kaj's story does not end with the passing of Summit.  After Summit passed away, he had 5 more pups test positive for Parvo.  Thankfully, 4 of the 5 pups are back home and fully recovered from their stay at Kansas State University's Veterinary Health Center.  One of the pups, Onyx, is still at KSU.  The Parvo hit her really hard.  She has successfully fought off the Parvo but is dealing with serious secondary compilations.  Please check back for updates.  I know Kaj appreciates your support!
