Hunt the Wren 2025

On Boxing Day, club members from Union Mills Football Club will be walking around the Snugborough and Union Mills area, singing the traditional hunt the wren song and knocking on doors. This is an annual tradition done by several groups across the island.

This year, the club has decided to raise money for the RNLI in memory of our club president Peter "Jasper" Cain.

Both Peter and his late wife Vivienne were long term supporters of the club and attended many functions and hosted the players every Boxing Day for “Hunt the Wren” as well as regularly watching home matches at Garey Mooar.

Peter was also heavily involved with Peveril Motorcycle Club and Douglas Lifeboat, three organisations he held close to his heart.

Singing will start around 9.20am so please keep a look out for the lads.
