Greetings Friends and Family,
I am so excited to make my first journey to Africa, the Motherland! This is a monumental chapter in my life.. In the midst of these uncertain times, I am delighted to partake in this cultural exchange of food, farming, land cultivation, youth service, women's circles and entrepreneurship and continue to bridge our ancestral gap . I firmly believe that "we are the medicine" to heal society, each other, and ourselves and look forward to connecting with other home cooks and chefs while continuing the work with community orgs such as Healthy Black Families and Acta Non Verba Urban Youth Farm Project.
My intention through HuNia's Kitchen is to reclaim ancestral knowledge about my passion - food, community and education! While in Ghana, I will expand weekly online cooking and nutrition education courses and podcasts utilizing a variety of social media platforms, featuring the indigenous Ghanaian home cooks, chefs, families and community members. This is just the beginning.
My ask is that, if you're able, please contribute. No monetary gift is too small. Contribute in whatever amount feels good to you. I am humbly grateful for whatever you care to give. Words of encouragement, and local connections are extremely valuable and appreciated too.
Thank you for your generosity and for your love and support over the years.
Your sister in service,
HuNia
