The Coronavirus has devastated the local restaurant industry while representing an unprecedented threat to our healthcare professionals. We are a community, and I feel compelled to step up and help. Our idea is to support both groups through the purchase of prepared meals from locally run restaurants and providing those free meals to the staff at Honor Health Osborn in Scottsdale. Honor Health Foundation has agreed to take care of both the delivery and distribution within the hospital to staff and professionals. Further, several Olympians have recorded videos of thanks to the Honor Health staff and agreed to help with deliveries. At present, we are purchasing $1000 worth of meals from local restaurants one day a week and providing those meals to Honor Health Osborn and Family Promise, a homeless shelter for families. It would be great if we could expand this support beyond $1000 a week to provide more meals throughout the week during this very difficult time. Many local restaurants will likely go out of business during this period, including some of your favorites. Let's step up to this challenge and support these local businesses, the people working at the front line tackling the onslaught of the Coronavirus, and each other. Thank you for your support!
