Hunger and War - Save Hasan’s Life Now

Donation protected
Hello,
We are a Palestinian family from Gaza, living under the weight of a devastating war that has not stopped for the past one year and nine months. During this time, we have endured every form of suffering: constant bombing, fear, the loss of loved ones, forced displacement, and the complete destruction of our lives.

Since March 2, 2025, the Israeli occupation has completely closed the crossings and banned the entry of any humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. This means we have been living for nearly 85 days—almost three full months—without any food, flour, or even the most basic necessities of life.

This is the story of Hasan, my 9-year-old brother.
Since the beginning of the famine, Hasan has barely eaten anything. Every night, he goes to sleep hungry, and wakes up in the middle of the night crying from the pain.

The price of a single bag of spoiled flour—filled with worms and reeking of a foul odor—has reached $1,000.
And even at that outrageous price, it is nearly impossible to find.

There are no vegetables, no fruits, no sugar, and none of the basic nutrients that children Hasan’s age need to grow up healthy.

At an age when his body should be nourished with vitamins, proteins, and carbohydrates, Hasan’s body is withering—day by day.

Hunger has drained him, and his condition is getting worse.
There is no sugar, at a time when his body desperately needs energy—just to fetch water and stand in long lines for a small amount of undrinkable water, as no desalination plants are currently operating.

Hasan drinks water mixed with chlorine, which causes him frequent stomach illnesses.

On top of the famine, we are also suffering from constant displacement.
The Israeli military has dropped leaflets ordering us to evacuate from Rafah to so-called “safe zones”—but there is no such thing as a safe place in Gaza.

Every time we flee, we are forced to leave again.
There is no transportation, no fuel, and the prices are outrageously high beyond imagination

Our home in Rafah was completely destroyed by an airstrike.
Now, our family is homeless. We have no roof to shelter us, and we own nothing but pain and grief.

Nada, was on her way to apply to university when the library she was in was bombed.
She sustained serious injuries, and shrapnel remains lodged in her body to this day.

Hasan is caring for his sister Nada after her injury.
Despite everything he’s going through, Hasan is holding on to his dream—he still wants to become a doctor.

Yousef, he is an exceptionally bright student.
He finished high school (Tawjihi) two years ago and was supposed to be at university by now, pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor.
But because of the devastating war, Yousef hasn’t been able to continue his education or even sit for his exams, as schools are being bombed—with students still inside.

In Gaza, there are no functioning banks, and my father has no way to withdraw his salary through official channels.
To access his own money, he is forced to go through unofficial exchangers who charge up to 50% commission—meaning he loses half of his salary just to be able to use it for food, water, and basic necessities at sky-high prices.

Every donation, no matter how small, is a lifeline for us.
You are not just giving money—you are giving us a chance to live, saving a child from death, and saving a family from genocide.

Please, help Hasan. Help us survive.
Every contribution makes a difference. Every act of support is a new ray of hope.

With all our love and gratitude
