Humpty Doo Dad Needs Help After Major Injury

Support Nathan Buckland's Recovery After Spinal Injury.

Hi my name is Danielle and I am raising funds for some of my oldest friends Nathan and Sophie Buckland, local legends in Humpty Doo and the hardworking owners of Buckland and Sons, a family gardening business.

Just recently, Nathan was in a terrifying motorbike accident, suffering severe spinal injuries with fractures to both his T2 and T12 vertebrae. The accident has left him unable to work, walk properly, or care for himself — let alone run the hands-on business he and his wife built together.

Nathan is a devoted husband and father of three, known for his hard work, loyalty, and big heart. But since the accident, life has changed dramatically. He's now at home, still in deep physical pain, and without any support services in place or anyway to make a living to support his family.

While in hospital, Nathan was subjected to deeply neglectful treatment. He was:

Left in his own waste for four days after the accident

Unable to feed himself due to his injuries — meals were delivered, then removed untouched without assistance

Given no physiotherapy, no home care plan, and no referrals or support,

Sent home without any formal rehabilitation or help for Sophie, who has had to keep working to support the family.

Now, their young children are doing their best to care for their dad at home — a heartbreaking and overwhelming situation for any family to endure.
