Humphrey’s Emergency Surgery To Walk Again

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Georgia and I have a beautiful Cavoodle named Humphrey, this go fund me page is being set up for my boy in the hopes of raising enough money to cover the costs for his emergency surgery.

My step mother and myself rushed Humphrey to the emergency vet on the morning of 05/06/2025 after finding that both of Humphrey’s back legs were paralysed causing him to not be able to walk or relieve himself to go bathroom anymore. After running blood tests to help find the cause, the vet found inflammation suggesting bruising on his spinal cord from a herniated disc. Which unfortunately is quite common in the cavoodle bread and can happen at any age.

after performing an MRI the vets confirmed their theory and found that Humphrey unfortunately did have a herniated disc and did require emergency surgery in order for him to recover completely without any potentials of infection and or death, the positives were that Humphrey did have a 90% success rate if preformed.

After discussing our options, we were advised that we would have to pay $18,000 in order to carry out the procedure, causing great distress and anxiety to our family.

We were fortunate enough to be able to pay a small portion to get the procedure rolling but still require to pay significant remainder.

We are now asking for your help and support, if you’re in the position to of course. We don’t ask for much but anything is appreciated, especially if you have been lucky enough to know and love our Humphrey you’ll understand why we saw this surgery as a no brainer. And if you haven’t been ever so lucky to have met our boy, let me tell you he is just the best.

Thank you for reading our story, and Thank you for any support you may have brought to this page.❤️

UPDATE: —————— 06.06.2025

Humphrey has now undergone his emergency surgery and is currently in the recovery ward being waited on head to toe by all vet nurses, the surgeon stated that he is very pleased with his progress and says Humphrey is now on the mend but with a long road to recovery ahead of him.

he had his first meal this morning (06.06.25) around 7am since not eating for over 24hrs prior to his accident and has also finally been to the toilet now, our boy even went for a small walk to get rehabilitation and overall movement started which is outstanding efforts on Humphrey’s part.

My step mother and myself are still unable to visit Humphrey just yet, as he still requires more rest in the recovery ward a few more days before he can be admitted back home. Until then I will continue to keep you all posted on Humphrey Bears progress.

My family and myself cannot thank you all enough for the ongoing & outstanding support we have received from you…our community.

Humphrey is wagging his tail for you all. ❤️‍
