THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Dear friends,

As the calendar is moving us from Winter into Spring, 2023, I find myself in a new, scary, and completely different place than I ever thought I would be. I have had to re-look at my life and business through a new lens and really ask myself what I would usually ask a client, What Matters Now?

Never before has that writing prompt been so important in my life, and I have found myself looking at my own work that I teach others in order to move beyond the dark times.

Over the past several months, I haven't been feeling well, and just three weeks ago, after many tests and procedures, I was given a diagnosis of a relatively rare form of cancer which has metastasized. I have also lost a considerable amount of weight.

For a long time, I have not been listening to The Universe when it has been telling me loud and clear to “Slow Down!” Well, I’m listening now.

The very next thing I want to tell you is that I know I will rise above this and restore my body to perfect health. I believe if my body/mind created it, it can heal it too. I am not a victim here. I am on a deepening path of learning, healing, and growing. There are always gifts in every situation we encounter in life, even if they do not come wrapped in pretty bows. One of my greatest strengths is that I AM RESILIENT! I wholeheartedly believe Life happens For us, not To us... and it is our interpretation and our response to what shows up that will determine the difference between peace and suffering.

I am not sugarcoating a grave situation...I am scared, but I am also choosing to do everything I can to help myself.

I am now fully committed to living what I teach others about radical self-care. I will Re-Write My Life and move beyond this stumbling block. I have already started a focused and committed healing regime that addresses my mind, body and spirit.

What I ask of you at this time, if you will, is to please envision me as I envision myself - healthy, fit, and vibrant - living my life with deep inner peace, and joy. That David and I will enjoy a beautiful, long life together. We just got married this past September! We met just before Covid in October 2020, and we still can't believe our good fortune to meet and fall in love at this stage of life. Both of us, still going strong with our missions to make a positive difference in the world.

I am a self-employed entrepreneur, psychotherapist, author, and writing coach, and as such do not have the benefits of paid medical leave. David also works for himself as an artist and songwriter.

We enjoy a simple life within the modest means we can afford. We both were strongly affected by the downturn of the economy - as millions of others have been - and we are often challenged to pay the rent. Still, and without question, we count our blessings every day. We recognize the preciousness of Life and are rich in spirit, in our values and our faith.

With respect to my concerning health situation, it is my intention to work with an integrated care system - which employs the best of integrated Western medical practices as well as holistic therapies.

Unfortunately, alternative therapies and practices as well as many cancer medications are not covered by BC Medical. Just one visit to a naturopath last week to learn the best dietary practices for healing my particular cancer and one medical prescription cost $515.00! ...and I am only at the start of this journey.

This is why I have let go of my pride and am reaching out in this way to set up a healing fund.

Any amount you could contribute would not be too small and would be heartfully appreciated.

Your gift will allow me to purchase the necessary health aids and prescriptions I need to clear this cancer that is currently living in my body, causing pain and rapidly draining my energy.
