Hello dear friends and family. First let me say thank you so very very much for all your prayers, love and support!! I wanted to update you on the latest developments. I have secured an attorney and are still in the first stages of getting all the paperwork and information together so we can file and serve Leyas dad. He will get 20 days to respond. If he doesn’t respond that will allow my attorney and I to request sole custody and close the case without having to go to court. That is my prayer. Unfortunately my daughter’s father’s focus has always been money and he somehow feels I should still be taking care of him financially. He continues to claim Leya on his taxes knowing he has not taken part in any of the shared custody responsibilities in over 6 years. He also knows that no longer having shared custody will cause him to lose money, which will be his motivation to fight and hold on to every dollar he can. For this reason I am continuing to ask for help. Due to his present situation I am no longer receiving child support and have not for months. This is $396 that is no longer part of my monthly budget. Which means I have no extra of my own to put aside for attorney fees. Every penny I make is strictly for bills and groceries. I live off credit cards right now to make sure my beautiful daughter has what she needs. So if you are able to donate, $1, $5 or $10, anything at all is a tremendous blessing.
