Humbly asking theft recovery help for livelihood

Donation protected
My name is Tor, living in the Gardnerville Ranchos. I run a small business providing mobile RV services primarily from Topaz to Tahoe to Truckee, but also as far as Bridgeport and Hawthorn when needed. While winters are challenging, this past winter pushed the survivability of my business to the edge. My 2 year old daughter and I have been making it hand to mouth trying to recover from the winter and brace for the upcoming winter. I have one volunteer work for people in critical need who could not afford help, I have reduced rates for those in need on many occasions, and I have talked myself out of business over the phone many times because somebody had what I suspected was a minor issue that I could not in good conscience charge for if I were to drive out and spend 10 minutes to fix. This is not to say how wonderful I am, but just to explain that I have a strong work ethic, and that while I want to make money I won't cheat people out of it or mislead people into work that is not needed. Testimonials can be found on my business page at www.bit.ly/rvphd.

On the night of Thursday, September 14, my work trailer was broken into. All of my work tools were stolen. Plumbing supplies were stolen. They even stole my collections of screws, bolts, electrical fasteners, and an assortment of tools I inherited from my grandfather which were very dear to me. After pricing the stolen items the total damage comes to over $5000. I do not have the money to replace the tools, and without the tools I cannot make the money for the tools, let alone rent, food, utilities, etc. Although I do have tool and equipment insurance, the insurance company is telling me that the majority of the tools are not covered; they distinguish between tools and equipment and while "equipment" is covered for several thousand dollars, they are only covering "tools" for a few hundred dollars.

I am trying to borrow from some friends and family, but there is no way the amount will come close to what is needed to be able to replace the tools and therefore be able to repay them and have money to survive and support my daughter. I am the type of person who avoids asking for help. I am immediately looking for employment, however there is little out there that will cover my bills, let alone recover the tools. I'm about to lose my business and will have no income for at least a few weeks, assuming I find work right now, which means I will be out of my small apartment next month with nowhere for us to go. Pride be damned, I need to survive and provide for my daughter, so here I am reaching out to you.

I would not have thought to ask for help like this, but the deputies doing the forensics suggested that given the dire circumstances I try a GoFundMe and post it on the community Facebook. Please consider donating whatever you can. Anything will help. Thank you.
