My name is John Carlo Bobilles, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my wife. We were married just last year on December 29, and instead of enjoying our first year as newlyweds, we’re now facing the hardest and most painful battle of our lives.

In early October, my wife Doenielle got hit with bacterial pneumonia and was admitted on October 9, 2025. She fought hard and was discharged on October 19, but because she has Lupus, her immune system is always fragile and vulnerable.

While she was still trying to recover, she got sick again — this time with a viral infection that attacked her lungs. She was admitted again on October 28, and everything went downhill so quickly. On November 1, she had to be intubated and transferred to the ICU.

Seeing her connected to tubes and machines, fighting for every breath, is something I never imagined. She is now on her second week in the ICU, and her condition remains extremely critical.

Her current diagnosis is Septic Shock with Severe Pneumonia in an Immunocompromised Host.

We’ve used all our savings. We’ve maxed out all our credit cards. My wife’s family has resources also, but it’s not infinite. Every single day the hospital bill grows due to medications, procedures, and supplies — and this doesn’t even include the doctors’ fees yet.

As of November 15, the running bill has reached ₱1.8M PHP (around 47,000 AUD).

I’m not the type of person who asks for financial help. Swallowing my pride like this is incredibly hard, but right now, I’m just a husband trying to save the woman he loves. I honestly don’t know where else to turn.

I am humbly asking for your kindness — whether through prayers, financial assistance, or sharing this with others. Any amount, no matter how small, means so much to us. Your help could give my wife another chance at life.
