Humbly asking for a miracle

My name is Ray and the picture is my brother Brian. (That's Brian using a walker to stand on his single prosthetic leg, a new trick for him at that time.) I'm fundraising for money to pay medical expenses and rent this month.

Because my brother is a double amputee, we had to move from our third-floor apartment to a more expensive ground-floor apartment in March. I've finished professional training for a career that promises to take care of us, and I am job-hunting daily, but I haven't been hired just yet, and rent is due on the first. Brian has attorneys who have said that they will get him the Social Security financial relief he qualifies for, but he has been getting the "We'll call you when we hear something" reply so far this year.

And the longer the process takes, the worse things get. We've sold everything we can to hold onto the apartment, and to make sure Brian's insurance is paid every month, because of the medications he now requires, and so he can eventually get his other prosthetic leg, but we're out of things to sell. We currently can't afford the repairs our car desperately needs. As I said, I'm searching daily for work, and I'm hopeful my new skills will land me a steady job very soon. But we won't be able to make it to next month without substantial help.
