CURRENT UPDATES FURTHER DOWN

My name is Erin and as many of you know I am Jason's wife. I have thought long and hard about whether or not to do this as the months have gone by, as reaching out for help is not something either of us are used to, unless in the most serious dead end of situations. My husband has been dealing with some pretty serious medical issues surrounding his thyroid since May. If you don't know about thyroid disease and a failing thyroid, it isn't anything I would wish on my worst enemy. Your mental health, along with your physical health are severely impacted. This is something a few of you, but not many of you are aware that we've been dealing with since May. We don't often bear our struggles to the world and instead pray with each day things will look up. This has been months of physical symptoms of him not being able to keep his eyes open for days on end, to the complete opposite of the spectrum where he can't even get an hour of sleep at night. The TSH levels are constantly back and forth, therefore keeping his job as a truck driver, let alone any job has been too much and too hard to keep with daily fluctuating symptoms. He's embarrassed, however we as a family have ensured him that this is out of his control completely and will get taken care of as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it's a process and not a fast one. Currently we are a family of 4, we are making it, but I am the only income at this time and it's catching up and getting tough. He is able to Uber when his body physically allows and that extra is extremely helpful. Most all of you know us to be the outgoing, friend and family loving, function attending people we are, but just can't currently be. It does feel good to let this out in the open, and let everyone know we are ok, we will make it through, and we love each and every one of you, and apologize for our distance as we navigate this hardship. Doctor appointment is on the 20th, at that time we will be referred to a specialist to begin some testing and imaging to see if removal is now the best option. In place of financial help if you aren't able or comfortable with that, many prayers are accepted! We need them.
