My name is Husam Abdalbari. My parents and three younger sisters (ages 17, 19, and 24) are currently stranded in Egypt after escaping the war in Gaza. Unfortunately, they face a different kind of danger there: theft, discrimination, verbal harassment, and the inability to live with dignity or continuation of their education. As Palestinians without legal protection or permanent residency in Egypt, they are extremely vulnerable.
They are now trying to apply for a humanitarian visa to Belgium, so they can reunite with me and rebuild their lives in safety. However, the process is expensive. Each application requires:
• Visa and processing fees
• Administrative costs
• Document translation and legalization
• Medical certificates and travel expenses
The total cost for the whole family is over €2,000 – an amount I cannot cover alone.
Your donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference. It can help children return to school. It can help a mother sleep at night without fear. It can help a family escape the trauma of war and discrimination and start over in peace.
Please consider supporting our journey to safety.
With gratitude,
Husam ABDALBARI
