Hey all,

My name is Sigi and I'm a Canadian citizen headed to Europe to assist Ukrainian refugees crossing into the Polish and Romanian borders as they flee Putin's War.

My aim is to land in Italy, rent a car, and drive it to the border stocked up with water, food and basic supplies. (I've already covered my own flight and car rental expenses so funds from these donations will not be used for my personal lodging and travel. I will be keeping all receipts for expenses so as to ensure every single dollar is accounted for.)

I'd also love to set up temporary lodging where I can, so people have a place to clean up and rest for a bit. (Ie. Renting an inexpensive multi-room airbnb or low-cost hotel rooms).

I'm not part of a particular organization, I've never coordinated a fundraising effort before, I'm just a regular old frustrated millenial tired of watching the world go to shit while rich, powerful politicians play games with human lives. That is to say, if you have experience with this or can provide tips to help me be as helpful as possible in my efforts, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment.

I just want to do something, anything. I think this is a sentiment many of us share right now.
