The time is now to stand with the country of Jamaica.

Hi my name is Frank Lawrence and I chose to start this GoFundMe after hearing of the stories on the ground in Jamaica through family and friends I have decided to make an effort and do my part for the hurricane relief effort.

With that said, I chose to show Jamaicans in a position of power in my profile pic.

Jamaica is not about Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Sandy Beaches, Hot Sun, Jamaican Rum. Jamaica is not about Yam, Achee and Salt Fish, Taxis, King Fish, Beef Patties . Jamaica is not about the 14 parishes , Blue Mountain, Blue Mountain coffee.

Jamaica has always been about two things, strength and the people , the vibe of the people is the soul of the country .

Right now those souls need your help.

Jamaica. there is no place on earth that has the animation, flo and vibes that come out of this country.

I dont want to see anymore pictures of the Jamaican people suffering and I can tell you many were suffering long before Melissa.

You see in this world you truly do not appreciate Poverty till you have witnessed poverty in a third world country, I have and I am blessed and grateful for the experiences that now have change my life, changed my direction, changed my lens, formed a better person.

With all that I have said I am having an increase in outpouring from my network, there are many people that want a way to support Jamaica in these post Hurricane relief efforts .

Let me be clear, integrity and accountability are the factors that have lead to me wanting to help out the Island of Jamaica , this is why I plan on personally flying into Jamaica , meeting my church and school contacts that I have in Manchester, St Elizabeth , Westmoreland and St James Parishes .

Our goal is to raise funds, purchase supplies on the ground at PriceSmart (Jamaica's Costco Equivalent) and hand deliver them to the folks that need it.

I will post pictures of the entire process as well as include photos of the supplies in trucks, the delivery points and if the family's permit a picture of the effected families and communities .

I have immediate family in Jamaica, I have family and friends that have been impacted by the hurricane some of my family members still today do not have power or internet currently.
