Hello, my name is Diana and I am a propulsion engineer and a bilingual science communicator. I will be joining a humanitarian and outreach mission in Kitale, Kenya in late July to help underserved communities. During this trip, we will visit different facilities such as orphanages, schools, elderly homes and hospice center patients to maximize our reach and provide basic supplies and care.

Most notably, I will give a class about science and space to Milele Home; an organization that rescues the youth living on the streets of Kenya and empowers them to become the best version of themselves for their communities and families. I will also visit Sister Freda’s nursing school where I will spend time with young women who are interested in the fields of STEM.

My goal for this mission is to raise awareness in different parts of the world and show how minimal amount of effort, money and hope, can create a big difference in someone’s life.

I’m creating this campaign as an opportunity for my community to help me advocate, support and serve these communities. Funds will be used to buy computers, books, stationery, medical supplies, and most importantly, planting hope in humanity!

سوف أنضم إلى بعثة انسانية في كيتالي ، كينيا في شهر يوليو لمساعدة الفقراء و المحتاجين في هذه المجتمعات. خلال هذه الرحلة ، سنزور مرافق مختلفة مثل دور الأيتام والمدارس ومراكز رعاية المسنين

سأزور مدارس و التقي مع طلاب للتكلم عن العلوم والفضاء مثل منظمة تنقذ الشباب الذين يعيشون في شوارع كينيا وتمكنهم من أن يصبحوا افراد ناشطين في المجتمع. سأزور أيضًا مدرسة التمريض حيث أقضي الوقت مع الشابات المهتمات بمجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات.

هدفي من هذه المهمة هو التوعية عن أجزاء مختلفة من العالم وإظهار كيف أن اقل الأشياء التي نقدمها…مثل الجهد والمال والأمل يمكن أن يحدث فرقًا كبيرًا في حياتهم .

أنا أقوم بإنشاء هذه الحملة التبرعية كفرصة لمجتمعي لمساعدتي في دعم هذه المجتمعات ودعمها وخدمتها. الأموال ستستخدم في شراء أجهزة الكمبيوتر والكتب والأدوات المكتبية والمستلزمات الطبية ، و زرع الأمل في البشرية!
