Human trafficking victim trying heal n start life again

Hi there,
I hope you don’t mind me reaching out to share a bit about my journey and how you might be able to lend a hand. Having survived the harrowing experience of sex trafficking, I'm currently navigating the challenging path of rebuilding my life from the ground up. The road to recovery is a complex one, and I could use a little support from kind-hearted individuals like you to make it through.
Right now, my primary needs revolve around securing ongoing trauma therapy and medication, which are crucial for coping with the deep emotional scars left behind. Unfortunately, these services are expensive and beyond my current means. In addition to therapy, I am struggling to afford basic necessities such as groceries, clothing, and hygiene items. These essentials are vital as I work to regain a sense of normalcy and comfort in my life.
I've recently moved into a new apartment and am in need of furniture to create a living space that feels safe and welcoming. Safety is a major concern for me, especially with one of the traffickers still at large. Having security devices like cameras and a smartwatch to call 911 in emergencies would provide invaluable peace of mind.
Given the circumstances, transportation has become another pressing issue. I need assistance with travel costs for attending court appearances and consistent therapy sessions. These journeys are not just physical but emotional, as they are steps toward justice and healing.
I'm also exploring options for short-term residential trauma programs specifically designed for survivors of sex trafficking. These programs could offer intensive support and specialized care to address the unique challenges I face. I also incurred some damages to my tailbone during the trafficking due to sexual abuse from being raped multiple times. In order to access chiropractic services and RMT services donations could help making sure that I receive these kind of treatments in order to help my body to heal from repetitive physical highly traumatic injury that is causing me pain constantly but I cannot afford to address on my own. Additionally, activities like yoga and meditation have proven to be incredibly helpful for managing PTSD, flashbacks, and panic attacks. Accessing classes and materials for these practices would greatly aid in grounding myself during moments of distress.
A recent addition to my life is a support animal, whose presence brings immense comfort and companionship. However, caring for this beloved animal involves expenses for vet care, training, and related costs, which I’m currently unable to cover.
Starting completely from scratch is overwhelming, and any assistance, whether financial support, gift cards, or services like Instacart deliveries, can make a significant difference. Your support would not only fulfill practical needs but also convey a message of compassion and solidarity.
Every bit of help brings me closer to a safer, brighter future built on hope and healing. Thank you for taking the time to consider my situation and for any support you may be able to offer. Your kindness is deeply appreciated and means more than words can express.
Warmly, Kristen
Little more about my trafficking down below.

.
Hey! I'm reaching out as a human trafficking survivor who recently found the courage and opportunity to escape from my captors. Every day, I live in constant fear, struggling with deep PTSD. My nights are filled with terrors and vivid flashbacks that feel all too real. Often, as I try to drift off to sleep, I'm jolted awake by the imaginary voices of those who held me captive. The doctors tell me that these symptoms are a result of my complex PTSD, and it has been incredibly challenging to manage.
The journey to freedom was harrowing. My initial attempt to flee was met with violence; they assaulted me brutally with a hockey stick, leaving me with severe injuries that required stitches. The trauma of that experience still haunts me. Despite the fear and the pain, I knew I had to try again. My second escape attempt came during a rare moment when my captors were intoxicated. Despite the danger, I seized the chance. My trafficker, although armed, had left a door unlocked in his drunken state. I took a deep breath, carefully retrieved the keys from the table, unlocked the door, and ran as fast as I could, calling for help at every door I passed. It was a terrifying dash for freedom, but I managed to reach safety and connect with victim services and the police, who are now supporting me as much as they can.
The aftermath of these experiences has left me in urgent need of support for my mental health. I've participated in a trauma-focused program to help with my healing, but ongoing care is essential and unfortunately beyond my financial reach. I'm literally starting over from scratch with nothing and have launched a GoFundMe campaign to seek assistance in rebuilding my life. This includes funding for therapy, support groups, residential treatment programs, and other critical needs like self-care practices Yoga and meditation classes are more than I can afford but I believe that these will help me with coping and grounding myself when I'm having anxiety or panic attacks and to help me ground myself with my C-PTSD. I'm actively looking for employment, both part-time and full-time, but it's challenging due to my lack of experience and the psychological hurdles I face.
If you find it in your heart to help, I would be incredibly grateful for donations or gift cards. These contributions would provide essentials like groceries and therapy supplies, as well as secure transportation to got to doctor's appointments therapy appointments, any classes, job interviews and most importantly Court appearances for my case. Also just two ensure I remain safe and get to point a and point b. Here's a detailed list of the items and assistance I'm hoping to gather:
- Basic groceries and self-care products to help me regain some semblance of normalcy
- Financial assistance for residential treatment programs, which can be life-changing, but are costly and have long wait lists
- Sensory toys designed to help with stress relief and to calm my hyper-vigilant state
- Snacks and drinks, along with prescriptions I can't fully cover, to maintain my health
- A smartwatch for emergency use, allowing me to discreetly call 911 without needing to fumble with a phone if I encounter any danger
I was also given a emotional support animal which is a dog which I named Lala. She has been a huge comfort so far she is 8 weeks old. The funds would also help with training , food, supplies, vaccination, routine veterinarian care, I plan on trying to get her into a service dog training program to become trained to wake me up from my night terrors ,help me when I'm having a panic attack and also get me some of my medications etc.
Additionally, I'm in need of fundamental household items such as bedding, pots, pans, and other kitchenware, hygiene products, and seasonal clothing, like a coat for warmth. Gift cards for places like Amazon, Walmart, or Uber would be incredibly beneficial. They would help me access necessary items while allowing me to remain safe and out of public view as much as possible, given that one of my traffickers is still at large.
Please reach out if you'd like to learn more about my story or wish to assist in other ways. Your support means everything to me during this challenging time as I work to rebuild my life and ensure my safety. Every little bit helps, and I'm profoundly thankful for any assistance you're able to offer. Thank you for taking the time to read my message and for considering being a part of my journey to recovery and newfound freedom.
If you're interested in more information I have lots of documentation of my trafficking if you need more information.
