Bella, my 13 year old Italian Greyhound and best friend. She is full of love and brings joy to everyone she meets.
Over the past year, she has had several health issues that led to a three night stay at the emergency vet this past week. They concluded that Bella has Stage III Chronic Kidney Disease. There is no medication for this condition, but she is now on a strict prescribed diet and fluids that I administer daily by needle. The emergency visit, plus testing and overnight stays, was approximately $7,000. Future follow up weekly visits are $300 - 400.
