Help the school restore the Huish Episcopi Primary School bell tower.
For generations, the bell tower at Huish Episcopi Primary School has stood proudly as a symbol of our town's history, resilience and community spirit.
Today, it needs our help.
Following recent inspections, we have been advised that the most cost-effective solution would be to remove the bell tower completely. However, this structure is far more than timber and lead— it is part of our shared heritage. It has marked the start of school days, and stood watch over hundreds of children who passed through these classrooms.
We believe it deserves to stand for another 150 years.
There must be hundreds of people still living locally — and many more further afield — who once attended this school. This is an opportunity for former pupils, families and community members to help preserve a piece of their own story.
Restoring the bell tower will:
- Preserve an important part of our local heritage
- Maintain the historic character of our school
- how current pupils the value of protecting community landmarks
- Keep a much-loved symbol standing for future generations
Every contribution, large or small, will bring us closer to safeguarding this special feature of our town.
If you have ever been part of Huish Episcopi Primary School — as a pupil, parent or staff member — we invite you to help us protect this landmark so it can continue to watch over our children for decades to come.
Please donate if you can, and share this page with friends, family and alumni who may wish to be part of this legacy.
Together, we can ensure the bell tower remains a proud part of Huish Episcopi’s story.
