Hi, my name is Hui Xin Sezille and I am a 16 year old British fencer. I have been selected to compete at the U17 and U20 World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, an incredible opportunity to represent Great Britain on the world stage. Currently, I am ranked 1st in Britain in U17 and U20, and 4th in the senior rankings.

Competing in Rio will help me gain vital international experience, and continue developing as an athlete. Competing against the best fencers in the world will push me to improve, grow, and take the next steps toward my long-term goal of becoming an olympian.

Fencing at an international level is very expensive. The costs of travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, training, and equipment add up quickly, and funding for young athletes is very limited.
