Our Story - We launched Help Us Help Them (HUHT) after working at an orphanage during a family trip to Vietnam. After seeing the plight of those kids, we knew we had the ability to make a difference in their lives. A little bit here goes a long way there. Pretty soon we branched out and looked for other ways to help less fortunate kids all around the world. So the idea for HUHT is simple -- it's a charity for kids, by kids, trying to make a difference one project at a time.
What we are doing - We are currently raising money for less fortunate kids at an elementary school in Arlington. 100% of the money we raise will go to fund scholarships that allow the kids to go to an advanced summer school, something they could not afford on their own. The school is Carlin Spring Elementary School, located at 5995 5th Rd S, Arlington, VA 22204.
Why this matters - We first gave out these scholarships last year, and we saw first hand how much it matters to the kids. It gives them a chance to continue to learn throughout the summer in a safe, stable, and stimulating environment. And helping these kids should matter to us all, because if we can make a difference in their lives, they in turn will make a difference in our community. The chain reaction could start a spark that could change the world in many different ways.
How much this will matter to us - There is nothing better than seeing the smile on kids faces when you know that you have made a difference in their lives.

Tax status - We are a non-profit charity registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia, but we do not have our 501(c)(3) status yet. Your contributions are not tax deductible on your Federal tax forms.
