Hi friends! I’m reaching out once again because we know how much you all love Hazel, and I wanted to give you a health update and ask for your support.

So far this year, we’ve already been put through the wringer. One year after Hazel’s tumultuous health issues, I’m heartbroken to say that Hazel has been diagnosed with a high-grade mast cell tumor. Treatment for this disease involves local therapy (surgery and radiation) combined with chemotherapy (to address metastasis).

Of course, this diagnosis is overwhelming and I’m going through so many emotions, but I’m happy to say that Hazel is still in wonderful spirits, has a very healthy appetite and is the same loving and hilarious dog that she always has been.

At this point, every two weeks I take Hazel to MASH (Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital) to get her routine testing, lab work, ultrasounds, and takehome chemotherapy pills.

As you know by now, we do not have insurance, and Hazel has three other senior siblings that I also love and care for dearly. Her medical visits and medications are very expensive, and I’m asking my friends, family and animal lovers to please donate whatever amount you are able to at this time. We greatly appreciate your help and support. My dogs are my life and family, and any lit bit helps. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
