Hey guys!
For those of you who do not know Hugo, he is a courageous, brave, God-loving man that some of us were fortunate to meet in Peru. Hugo was our security guard and guide during our missionary trip to the Amazon of Peru, back in 2019.
Hugo was our protector who became our friend. Always on alert and ready to serve, Hugo was described by one of the members of our group "as a lion, protecting his own." To Hugo, this is what he was called to do and was grateful for the opportunity to do it. He was a humble yet fearless man, who was willing to go above and beyond what was asked of him. Unfortunately, as strong as he is he has fallen very ill.
We recently found out that he is currently battling cancer while at the same time caring of his ill mother. In trying to pay off all his and his mother's medical bills, Hugo had to spend all his life's saving and take out loans. He is not able to work and is going through chemotherapy. As of now, Hugo has medical bills that total $16,000. This is no doubt a big financial burden but as brothers and sisters in Christ, we have the opportunity to come together and bless him and his family.
We ask that you help in any way you can, whether in prayer or financially. I know that together, as a community, we can have a major impact on Hugo's life during these hard times and that is the least we can do for a man who has had an ever bigger impact on so many people.
For questions, please feel free to contact Ana Nerio by phone or on Facebook/Instagram.
God bless!
