Hughes IVF-baby fund
Donation protected
Our dear friends, Heather and Danny Hughes, have been facing the most painful, soul crushing, and frustrating struggle with infertility. Through their journey they have encountered so much disappointment with many failed attempts to conceive, we want to join together to bring hope and encouragement to this beautiful couple.
We welcome you to read this story of two incredible people and join us in supporting them in their journey.
Danny and Heather got married in April of 2019. After meeting online they fell in love and were to become a perfect match, nurse and paramedic. Heather graduated from nursing school in 2005. She has worked at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA in multiple roles within the mother/baby unit. She first worked in Labor and Delivery than moved to Obstetrics with her specialty as a nursery nurse. Her caring hand has eased many new and returning parents journey. She has become family to many of her patients and aches to have a family of her own one day soon. After getting married, Danny was accepted into paramedics school through UCLA. Danny worked very hard throughout his paramedic training and was weeks away from graduating when the worldwide pandemic hit. COVID would put Danny's dreams on hold and his graduation date of January 2020 was sadly delayed. In the mean time, Danny was hired at CIS imaging, as a nuclear technician, performing cardiac stress tests on patients. Once the COVID restrictions are lifted, Danny will finish off his preceptorship and his paramedic training will be completed and graduation will ensue. As essential workers, Heather and Danny will continue to work hard for their community and give all of themselves while taking care of their patients.
Danny and Heather found out a few months ago that their path to becoming parents was going to take a different turn. After multiple visits with the OBGYN they tried many different recommended strategies to conceive, with no success. After yet another doctors appointment with an infertility specialist, their final step was introduced to them - IVF (in vitro fertilization). Danny and Heather never thought that IVF would be their only option. With the considerable costs that IVF entails, Patty Tovar, Aime Morrison, and myself wanted to help them by creating a "let's help Heather and Danny have a baby fund"! In the spirit of the season, please join us in giving them joy and optimism by monetarily donating to their baby fund. Any donation will help as IVF can cost upwards to $30,000 of out of pocket fees. Happy holidays to all and let's continue to pray for this sweet, essential, beautiful couple!
