Hugh Henderson's Music Program Memorial Fund

The Rome Free Academy band played a large part in Hugh's teenage years. It allowed his love of music to flourish, allowed him to travel and allowed him to make lifelong friends. Throughout his adult life, Hugh supported bands by seeking discarded instruments in the scrap yard and having a friend fix them up and use them for his students. Hugh knew how important the arts are to a child's education, especially music. We would love to keep his legacy alive through continued donations. We hope to help ensure any student with a love of music has the opportunity to be a part of their own high school's band and create wonderful memories- just as Hugh did.
