Our good friends April and Nathan Hugh and their family were victims of the Union Valley sinkhole and floods that tore through their Orcutt cul-de-sac on January 10th, 2023. There is extensive damage inside the home as well as severe structural damage to the foundation. We are so grateful they were all rescued safely! As we all know we don't carry flood insurance for our homes, because Orcutt is not in a flood zone and it never rains in California! They are displaced from their home while the extensive reconstruction takes place (4-6 months). This community is so supportive and loving and many have asked how to help them. This Go Fund Me page has been started for them by friends who love them in hopes of helping ease the financial burdens they now face.
