Hugh Albora Memorial Fund

Hugh Albora, a loving husband, father and friend, sadly passed on November 16, 2018 after a multi-year battle with a difficult and painful illness. Not only did this illness torture and brutalize Hugh, but left life changing damage and hardship on his loving wife, Elizabeth and 2 beautiful young girls, Paloma who is disabled now in 7th grade and Stevie now in 4th grade.

Hugh was incredibly generous, warm and caring and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Gifted in so many ways. As a young man he was a stand out athlete at Pope John High School, where he dominated in 3 sports. In football he was a 2 time All-State quarterback. In wrestling he was a four time district champ and his senior year a state finalist. Also, in baseball a 3 time All-County catcher. He moved on to the University of Wyoming where he was the quarterback and got his degree. After college he went straight into the insurance industry and continued to excel where he got his CPCU and was very successful for 40 years. Everybody was his friend. He treated everyone with respect and in return was respected by everyone. His biggest accomplishment though, was his family, which he loved and cherished more than anything.

With so many accomplishments and so much love, what could possibly go wrong? Unfortunately, we will never know. He worked hard to get in front of his issues but, in the end, could not overcome his chronic illness.

His family is struggling to make sense of both the depth of his illness and how they can possibly move forward without him, especially during this holiday season.

We have established this fund to specifically provide as positive a life experience as possible for the girls for the year ahead. The funds will be used specifically to provide services and activities that will help them get through this difficult period and to provide them with the infrastructure to have productive, busy and joyful schedules as all kids deserve.

Even a small donation helps defer the cost of ongoing in house services, camps, activities etc. that will help these girls move forward and have a fighting chance at a happy life. Thank you for your consideration in donating to this worthy cause.
