HUG YOUR FAMILY CLOSE
What are the odds that your home is struck by lightning? Think about it..
You share your apartment with your mom and your girlfriend who is expecting, you head off to work, then you get the call.
Tyler Spillman, a resident of Baton Rouge and a part time employee for the state, got that call Tuesday, April 13th. His mom was at work at the time, but his girlfriend, two dogs, and pet lizard were at home. She heard a tremendous crack of lightning and began smelling smoke. By the time Tyler arrived, his apartment and everything inside of it was engulfed in flames. Tyler was grateful that his girlfriend and two dogs were safe, but was heartbroken that his lizard, Storm, didn't make it. Sadly, also lost in the fire were gifts from a recent baby shower.
Tyler is the kind of guy who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and lay down his life for those he cared about. His cheerful and positive manner is contagious and uplifts all those around him. Even after this terrible tragedy Tyler is thankful that his family is safe saying, "Material things can always be replaced, but family can't, so hug them close."
Please help Tyler and his family rebuild their lives and help them heal. Without having renters insurance, any and all donations are welcomed and appreciated.
Tyler wears a size XXL/XXXL shirt and a size 44 in pants. For donation
