Just before Christmas 2014  Jason (as some of you may know as Austin artist Bat Daddy) was exposed to a heavy dose of industrial flooring adhesive that immediately generated short term health side effects. The effects so severe that Jason has been displaced from the family home (where the exposure occurred), has not been able to return to the workforce, and now... has been diagnosed with MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity). This has had a great impact on the entire Huerta family as Laura has taken up many of Jason's responsibilities during his healing and of course this has effected their son, Santiago.

Though Jason is healing and the family is moving forward, they are faced with many out of pocket expenses as they work to remove all the toxins from their home, catch up on bills while Jason has been out of work, and work to return to everyday life.
