Hudspeth's Embryo Adoption

Almost eleven years ago, we got married, thinking that in a few months, we would start trying to have children. However, when a couple of years passed and we still hadn't been able to get pregnant, we sought medical help.  We found out Tiffany had endometriosis very badly.  She had surgery and some medication and a few months later, much to our delight, we became pregnant. Just a few short weeks later, however, we lost our baby.  It was a very heartbreaking time.  Sadly, even after many more years of trying and treatments, we have not been able to get pregnant again.

We had heard about embryo adoption through friends and family, but never really thought that it would be an option for us.  However, after a trip to see an infertility specialist, we learned that we would be able to attempt embryo adoption.  In order to get on the waiting list, we will recieve a psychological evaluation which will cost $1500.  Once we pass the evaluation, we will be put on a waiting list for a period of time-possibly a few weeks to a few months.  The remaining cost of medication and placing the embryo in the womb is between $3 and $4,000.  A successful pregnancy results between 45 and 50% of the time.

Embryos have been donated by couples who have completed their family, but do not wish to destroy their remaining embryos.  We will not know the name of the donors, but will have genetic information.  

We plan to start this process in the next one to two months, if possible.
