Hi, my name is Amy, my little family is currently raising money to help cover the cost of a few essential things while our little newborn Hudson is struggling. Hudson was born on the 09th of march this year. He was born healthy and well due to what we knew. At just a week old Hudson started having episodes of not breathing, holding his breath and episodes called a BRUE. After losing his older brother to a few unfortunate and unknown illnesses as a 3 month old, I was sure to take him in as soon as I could to get checked out. We were quickly admitted to hospital where he had stayed for 5 days. They had put him on antibiotics for 4 days while having a constant oxygen monitor on. They recorded his oxygen would drop to the 70’s, 80’s and even 60’s at some points they decided to try him on oxygen for 1 night. The next morning he was taken off it and the oxygen report was to be sent to specialists. The next morning we were discharged only to get a phone call 3 nights later rushing us to get back to the ward for another sleep test on oxygen for 1 night. That following morning the drs Informed me it would be a few more nights and he will be going home on oxygen. Although they haven’t given us an exact timeframe, the oxygen will be on him 24/7 for a few months up to a year. We will have to travel to and from hospital multiple times a month sometimes even multiple times a week. We will have fuel and parking expenses and expenses for the oxygen accessories for example, tape for the tubes, tubing and at the moment we are not eligible for free oxygen until some other documentation gets approved and sent out. We of course would do anything for our sweet boy, and to just try and help make it easier on us is why we have decided to create this go fund me. We hope this will be very temporary but it is not known and will not be for a while. Thank you
