Hudson's Homies for Matt, Clare and Hudson Rona

First off, THANK YOU! all in advance for taking the time out to read through this.

I want you to consider this, this incredible family is Clare, Matt and Hudson Rona. Their struggle has made me realize, once again, that time is the most valuable thing we all have. Although unable to slow the clock down, I genuinely believe we can pull together to make this journey a little bit smoother and maybe a little less stressful for them.

In early 2021, Clare and Matt got through Covid, crappy right?! Yet the symptoms Matt experienced lingered and seemed to worsen. Remember, this is a time that appointments are scarce and delayed for obvious reasons. After months, tests confirmed the devastating news that it was ALS that was slowly taking things from Matt. There are no words to describe the shock and confusion of how such a good, loving family can be struck with such a crappy challenge.

These peeps have stolen a piece of my heart, because the love and strength they have for each other and their son Hudson is one of the strongest bonds I have ever seen. Their positive outlook on life is unbelievable and it makes you realize what's important in life and how to cherish every moment.

So here's the ask, Clare and Matt are dealing with financial costs that are well above what any young family can handle. For example, within the last year, they have had to look into a Powered Wheelchair/Scooter, Renovations to House to provide access for a wheelchair, Entry ramps and a chair lift within the house to make life a possibility in their loving home. The outpouring of friends and family helping was just incredible.

Above and beyond the physical changes to the house, the time and expenses of attending clinics, homecare and future modifications that this horrific disease may cause is always something that weighs on them. They should be worrying about soccer practices, what boots to get, what concert to see and how big of a tree to get for Christmas and although we can't change the time, we can make it easier for them to manage financially.

Please keep in mind; I am also doing this for "Mattie things"; quality time with his wife and son, times with his friends and family, just plain Mattie things that will last a lifetime in memories to those he loves with all his heart. To give him peace of mind that his friends and family support his family.

I have spoken to the family, and they have consented to do this. Please be mindful that this is very hard for them, as they are used to helping others, and it's hard to be on the other end, as you can well imagine. The discussion was that a lot of us want to help but don't know how, so they can achieve their needs and wants and do so. To support Mattie time, always. Please feel free to spread this among friends to help support this incredible family.
