The Department of Defense, the United States Army, or any other DOD component does not approve, endorse, or authorize the Hudson Hellfire Lacrosse Club, its members, or its activities.
Although we are students at West Point, the Hudson Hellfire does not represent the academy in any official capacity. Its members are actively working to achieve formal recognition as an authorized club within the Department of Cadet Activities at West Point, but this will take time and due process. Currently, the Hudson Hellfire is without any official sponsors or sources of financial support.
As of April 8, 2023, we have raised $10,340. This money has been used to purchase team helmets and uniforms which can be seen by visiting our social media @hudsonhellfire or our website www.hudsonhellfire.com
We hope that through continuing to raise money, we will be able to help finance our trip to the Naval Academy on April 22 and our trip to the NCLL National Tournament on May 14. We hope to win it all.
Any support you are willing to contribute is greatly appreciated!
Here is some informaiton about Hellfire:
The Hudson Hellfire consists of approximately 60 members, 42 of who compete competitively.
Members of the Hudson Hellfire compete in the National College Lacrosse League (NCLL) as a Division I team. In the NCLL, the Hudson Hellfire competes against other colleges across the nation as its own entity separate of Army. Hellfire is currently the #5 ranked team in the nation and is the highest-ranked team north of Baltimore.
Both the players and founders of the club have spent numerous hours organizing, practicing, and playing high-level lacrosse to achieve this status in a very short period of time. Doing so on their off time from West Point-related commitments because of a passion and love for the sport of lacrosse.
If the Hudson Hellfire is able to transition into a West Point-sanctioned team, any existing funds would be donated to the West Point Association of Graduates. The association of graduates will circulate those funds back to supporting a newly created Army Club Lacrosse program through proper academy channels.
