I am starting this fundraiser to help my sister and brother in law be able to focus on their children's recovery without the need to worry about the medical billd and/or missing work to be with their son at the hospital. Three of their children were involved in an car accident. Their daughters are home recovering however the oldest did suffer a severe concussion with short term memory loss and will need some dental work due to some teeth that were damaged. It is not known yet, if the dental insurance will cover this. Their 15 yeat old son, will be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks following his 10+ hour surgery to try and save his hand. Unfortunately, they were unable to save the whole hand; two fingers and part of his hand was removed. He will have another surgery tomorrow 12/11/23 to see if the remaining hand and fingers are getting the necessary blood flow and what not to survive. After they can confirm that the hand is on the mend, he will need skin graphs and other procedures. Following his release from the hospital he will need to do physical therapy and will likely need to do some counseling to deal with this change in his life. I am hoping to raise enough money to help their parents be present for as much as possible, for transportation to and from appointments without stressing about possible income loss from not working, the cost of transportation, and all other costs that will be incurred in this time. Ashley and Ben have always been there for others without hesitantation and now that they are in need, I am hopeful we can all come together and help them, as they truly deserve it.
