Help a First-Year 1st grade Teacher Build Her Classroom

As a first-year 1st grade teacher, I am thrilled to finally have my own classroom after years of sharing space in the school library. This new chapter is both exciting and challenging, as I work to create a welcoming and engaging environment for 22 eager young learners. While the school provides some basics, there are many essential supplies that I need to purchase myself—an entire library of first grade level books, teacher desk, reading rug or carpet spots, pencil sharpener, classroom calendar set, math and reading manipulatives, large timer, prize box items, laminator, printer, teacher resources (TpT), containers for supplies, and so much more. These items are crucial for building a space where my students can thrive, explore, and develop a love for learning from day one.

Teaching has been my dream since third grade, inspired by a teacher whose passion and kindness left a lasting impression on me. Now, I hope to be that same positive influence for my students, guiding them through the joys and challenges of growing up.
