Hi, my name is Chanelly and I am trying to raise money for my dog Huck Finn’s medical bills. He recently collapsed one morning and was extremely ill so I immediately rushed to our family vet. After an hour or so the vet told us he was severely anemic and needed a blood transfusion and that he was most likely not going to make it. I had to then rush him to a speciality emergency vet to get the care he needed. After a few days in the hospital and many, many tests they discovered that Finn had suffered a severe UTI which triggered an autoimmune blood disease called IMHA (immune mediated hemolytic anemia). There was no way of preventing this disease or no actual known cause, Finn has never had any medical issues in the past and just had his yearly check up/vaccines/bloodwork done and he was perfect, happy, and healthy. He now has to continue on 7 different medications and very frequent vet appointments. I have never been the type of person to ask for help but as you can imagine the financial burden that comes with something like this is beyond overwhelming. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to protect and/or save Finn which is why am calling out for support.
