HuBotics Lego explore team to world festival
Donation protected
Hello everyone! A warm welcome from Team HuBotics (Human Robotics http://humanrobotics.info ). We are a 2nd-grade team based in Parsippany, NJ. The kids and mentors primarily run the team under the guidance of team coaches. We are excited to announce that we have been selected to participate in the FIRST® Lego League (FLL) Explore World Championship/Festival in Houston, Texas (April 20-23), and represent the state of New Jersey to share with teams from across the globe. The championship is an inspiring celebration of STEM, ingenuity, problem-solving, and gracious professionalism. This is an exemplary opportunity for the young rookie team, and we are very fortunate to be a part of this. FIRST® is an acronym for For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology.
Teams from all over the world will be there to compete against each other for their solution to this year’s “Cargo/shipping industry” theme. We participated in a virtual event with teams from the tristate and received the “Best Team Model” award. This was one of the youngest teams that participated in this event.
Now that we’ve been selected, we need to raise around $5,000 to pay for team expenses to travel and participate in the world festival/championship in Houston. The team need assistance for the entry fee, housing, travel, food, transportation and miscellaneous. Any money that is left over, will help to fund next year's FLL team's start up costs such as registration and new materials for the next challenge!
It would be greatly appreciated if you donate to our team; this is a wonderful STEM enriched opportunity, and the kids will do their best to represent the state of NJ.
Please share this! Anything and everything counts!
• FLL is a national non-profit organization that inspires youth through hands-on STEM learning.
• Teams research, solve and present a solution to a stated problem. Additionally, children build and program a model made of Legos to showcase the project and ideas around this year’s theme of “Cargo”.
• Team HuBotics, a team of 5 children, coaches, and mentors, will be traveling to Houston, TX, to represent New Jersey in April (20th-23rd 2022) to compete in the World Championship.
• Due to registration, travel, room and board costs, etc., the team hopes generous people and companies will consider sponsoring them for their adventure ahead.
