Hubbard-Cole Family Ranch Devastation

Donation protected
On Monday September 7th, the Whitney Fire sparked and very quickly made it's way up through the Hubbard-Cole Ranch.  Within a matter of days 35 years of blood, sweat and tears, hard work, and three generations of ranching was gone.  Although Chase and Cassie's home, as well as the Taxidermy shop were saved, the amount of damage the ranch sustained is beyond devastating to their family ranching operation.  The ranch was more than just land. For Dave, Kris, Chase, Cassie, Bryce and Alisha, it was first steps, learning to drive, weddings, baby announcements, learning the value of hard work, family holidays and so many more memories. It is hard to explain the amount of loss this brings.

Total devastation is as follows: 17,000 total acres of ranch burnt, 40.7 miles of fence gone, 1,400 tons of hay destroyed, as well as the loss of their barn and hay supplies including a baler, feed bunks, and their calving lot.  At this time the total death toll of cattle remains unknown.

Dave, Kris, Chase and Cassie are third and fourth generation ranchers and the Whitney Fire destroyed more than just their property, with every acre burned it destroyed their entire livelihood. An unfathomable loss that leaves the future of their ranch in unknown territory. All funds raised will go directly to the Hubbard Family to help them with any and all expenses related to this tremendous loss.

If your heart calls you to donate we ask that you please include your name in the donation so that the family can see the amount of support behind them. If you would rather give a check or cash donation you can drop it off at Some Like It Hot in Davenport.

On behalf of the entire Hubbard Family, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
