Weir Quay Sailing Club - Boatshed Extension

Please support our community fundraiser to build the planned boatshed extension at the Weir Quay Community Watersports Hub Club!

The plan is to allow us to expand our youth sailing activities by creating a dedicated indoor space for storage and training.

This will allow us to make much better use of outside space in the dinghy park, including getting rid of the existing spar box and green trailer, which are well past their use-by dates. In addition, the extension will give us space to store mooring equipment and tools, hold a stock of Hippo mooring buoys and provide a training facility for mooring barge and dinghy users alike.

This is in addition to many other possible club uses in the future.

Our target for the fundraiser is £10k towards the building costs. As you probably know, planning permission has already been granted, and we are hoping to start work over the summer, and erect the structure in the autumn. Any funds raised from this campaign will go directly to the Hub Club, and will be ringfenced for the externsion works.
