My Story:

Hello everyone, this is Ricky Stanton and I’m reaching out on his behalf for support after recently undergoing a life-changing kidney transplant. While he is incredibly grateful to have received the gift of life, the journey ahead is filled with both physical and financial challenges.

The transplant process has been a long road, and now he is entering the critical recovery phase. To ensure he has the best chance of recovery, he'll need constant care and support from his amazing spouse, Shon. However, this also means that Shon will be taking time off from work to care for him full-time, which will significantly impact their household income.

Additionally, the follow-up appointments and ongoing medical care are crucial for his recovery. They anticipate needing to be in Louisiana for at least 30 days to ensure he is receiving the necessary care and follow-up visits from his doctors.

Why We Need Your Help:

The cost of medical bills, medications, travel expenses, and everyday living during this time are overwhelming. Their savings have been stretched thin, and with his spouse unable to work, they are finding it difficult to manage all of the financial demands while focusing on recovery.

We’re asking for your support to help cover the following expenses:

• Medical bills and medications (including immunosuppressants)

• Basic living costs, including groceries, utilities, and housing while we’re away from home. They are also still paying their housing costs in Mississippi as well.

• Lost income due to Shon taking time off work to care for him.
