I never imagined I would be writing something like this, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.

Recently, my boyfriend Paul was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Our world has been turned upside down as we try to process this devastating news and prepare for the difficult road ahead. In the coming weeks and months, we will be traveling back and forth to Boston for appointments, specialists, testing, and to learn more about the surgery Paul will need.

Paul has become very sick from the tumor and is unable to work at this time. Doctors are unsure when he will be able to return, and right now he will be out of work indefinitely. I have also had to miss work in order to care for him, attend appointments, and simply be by his side through all of this.

The emotional weight of this situation has already been overwhelming, and now we are facing the financial burden that comes with medical expenses, travel, lost income, and everyday bills that continue to pile up.

This post comes from a very humble place. We have never been people to ask others for financial help, and it is incredibly difficult and emotional for us to do so now. But at this point, we truly need support as we navigate one of the hardest seasons of our lives.
