Donating emergency vehicles to the Ukraine.
Donation protected
Hi, a small group of friends and I have recently delivered humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
We set off from Ledbury, UK, with three vans full of various donations. These included food, sanitary ware, nappies, pet food and medical supplies. We were very careful in our choice of donations as the space available in any vehicle is limited by volume and weight capacity.
We delivered the bulk of the food, nappies and sanitary to the humanitarian centre in Korczowa, on the Polish Ukraine border. In addition, the pet food was delivered to the veterinary ADA Foundation at Przemysil also near the border.
The medical aid was delivered to a centre in LVIV, Ukraine.
We then helped in the transportation of Ukrainian nationals from LVIV train station to the border at Korczowa for three days. One van from our group has stayed in LVIV to continue to help with transportation and to be available to carry out admin work for our return.
Having been to various centres helping with the aid crisis on the border, it became apparent that we could do more. Therefore, we will return with as much medical aid as possible and would also donate the emergency vehicles that we will purchase with the donations received to Ukraine.
We are committed to helping the Ukrainians who are being displaced, many of whom do not know where they are heading. They are just looking for a safe haven until the trouble is over.
Every donation, whether big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
